Where to Buy Signed Hardcovers

Categories: Warbreaker Signings/tours Alcatraz 3 The Gathering Storm

In case you couldn't make it to my booksignings during the Wheel of Time: THE GATHERING STORM tour (which is also the WARBREAKER and ALCATRAZ 3 tour) in the fall of 2009, here is a list of bookstores that I visited with information on how to pick up a signed copy from them. Most of these stores should have signed copies through the holidays at least. (Some will have them longer. See below.) You can find signed copies of hardcovers that have been out for more than one year in my store here. Continue Reading...

THE GATHERING STORM Release Events!

Categories: The Gathering Storm Signings/tours

All right, folks. Time to get this behemoth rolling. If you haven't noticed it by now, the events page on my website is new and snazzy. It auto-updates by removing items, and should—from now on—keep a constant list of where I'll be appearing next. So if you're looking for the BYU Midnight Release or want to get a numbered copy from Sam Weller's by mail, scroll down. Continue Reading...

So I've moved it here, and will link it in the thread. I reference the boards and people posting there, but you don't really need to know who they are to understand the essay.

MY HISTORY AS A WRITER

I've been thinking that I should give a little bit of an explanation of my history as a writer for those of you who don't know. I think it might give you some context for some of the posts I've made, and things people are saying in the forums about my unpublished novels. Read on if you want a little context. So, the folks over at Wizards have made some interesting announcements about the future of Magic: The Gathering.

I've long been a Magic addict. It started back when I was in high school, and I've never found a hobby that fits my interests quite so well as magic. There's the element of discovery and excitement that comes from opening a randomized pack to see what you find, there's the element of being a collector, which allows you to try to get all of the various pieces just like you might in stamp collecting or coin collecting. But, in the end, the cards are also combinable and usable into a game format that allows for competition and contest. Continue Reading...
