Orson Scott Card

I just heard back from Orson Scott Card, to whom we'd given a copy of ELANTRIS for a possible cover quote. Scott is very discerning on the kinds of books he gives quotes, and if any of you frequent his site, you know that he isn't afraid to speak his mind on the books he reads. Needless to say, I was eager—but a bit apprehensive—to hear what he had to say about the book. (If, indeed, he even got around to reading it. An author of his caliber never lacks for books to read and review.)

We got back a cover quote—and more! He wrote a review of ELANTRIS for his local newspaper. I assume this review will be posted on his site as well, and it is very laudatory.

To have Scott Card read and like your book . . . well, he's the greatest living science fiction author. I can think of few honors as humbling.

I'll post a link to the review as soon as it is up. I have the text, but I would feel uncomfortable posting it here, since Scott plans to post it himself. It's his content, not mine—but I'll get a link up as soon as possible, however!
