Summary

BRANDON: Hey, everybody! Brandon here with your Weekly Update. I am actually signing tip-in pages for the UK right now. I know you guys get left out now and then. And so I am quickly signing a thousand of these, I believe it is, that we're going to send to them that you guys will be able to get ahold of.
So, how are the updates going? Well, my non-Cosmere novella for the non-Cosmere collection, I am at, Bing! About 66%. I'm going to call it about two-thirds. I hit a part, and it happens in a lot of stories, where you're like, "These last few chapters did work." And those are danger points in writing because that happens to new writers a lot and then they just stop. but I know enough about my process to realize I need to rewind a bit, and took a few days, figured out what was wrong, and rebuilt the beginning of the story, and then wrote those chapters again, threw them out and did something different with them, and now the story works. So I have successfully fixed the story. This, like I said, happens with most stories. No matter how much you outline, you'll get to a point where you're like, "This doesn't actually make sense." So progressing well on that. Hoping that I can finish that pretty soon so that we can have a new story for the non-Cosmere collection when it comes out.
Blightfall from Janci is at, Bing! 24%. This is her latest revision of the new book in the Skyward universe.
So, what else is going on? Well, we wrapped up our Kickstarter. Thank you! Another record breaker. We ended up at number three in the all-time Kickstarter records, right below the Pebble Watch, and that being below our other Kickstarter. So we did not anticipate this, but maybe we should have. You guys have been asking for us to do this for a while, and I'm glad that we finally were able to do it. So now we're going to be working hard on getting the Mistborn side of that all finished and ready, because the Stormlight side is basically done. Karen is doing kind of her final continuity look through right now.
Speaking of the Stormlight Archive, Wind and Truth, the cover was revealed last week. Michael, he did a lot of revisions that are very subtle, getting to where he was pleased with it. He redid one of the mountains entirely. Again, it's a subtle change, but a lot of work on his part. I love it. It's gorgeous. We are very, very grateful to Michael Whelan for, you know, being on this journey with us for the last 15 years of doing Era 1 of the Stormlight Archive. And it's a fantastic cover to probably be, he said, his last cover. And so go check it out.
Let's see. The Most Boring Book Ever releases September 24th. That is my next release. Children's book, picture book. If you're on this channel, you already know about it. Tickets for the local signing event, there's a link in the bio. You can go pick up some of those. They will probably go pretty quickly.
Just a couple little things for you. Our Tress cup is restocked. That sold out pretty quickly. And so we have more of those. If you want your little Tress butterfly teacup, you can grab that.
Also, I will be at FanX in Salt Lake City September 26th through 28th. I know I am at least doing a spotlight panel, and there might be another panel that I'm going to be sitting on, as well as doing signings every day. So come join us then.
I will be back next week with another update, hopefully having made some good progress on this novella. And we will see you then.
