Official Rules for the Dragonsteel Nexus and Tailored Realities Giveaway

You do not need to make any purchases or payments to participate in or win the giveaway. Making a purchase will not enhance your chances of winning.

1. Eligibility: Eligibility for the Dragonsteel Nexus & Tailored Realities Giveaway is open to individuals residing in countries where Dragonsteel ships books. Those ineligible to participate include employees, officers, and directors of Dragonsteel Books, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, as well as immediate family members and individuals residing in the same household as such employees. The giveaway is subject to relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

2. Giveaway Period: The giveaway commences on 09/02/2025 at 11AM MST and concludes on 09/17/25 at 11:59PM MST.

3. How to Enter: To enter, participants are required to send an email to contests@dragonsteel.com during the specified giveaway period. For an additional entry, participants need to be subscribed to the Brandon Sanderson email newsletter. Each person is limited to a total of two entries.

4. Prizes: Five winners will be chosen, and each will receive two tickets to Dragonsteel Nexus 2025, one Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of Tailored Realities, and one Lightning Signing Ticket (resulting in a total of ten Nexus tickets and five ARCs distributed among all winners).

5. Winner Selection and Notification: The winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the giveaway period and will be notified via email using the provided contact details. Winners must respond and claim their prize within eight days. Failure to do so may result in the selection of an alternate winner.

6. Prize Conditions: Prizes cannot be transferred, and substitutions will only be made at the discretion of Dragonsteel Books. Nexus and Lightning Signing tickets will be electronically issued, while ARCs will be sent to the winners' designated mailing addresses.

Recipients of the Advance Reader Copy (ARC) must agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as a condition of receiving the ARC. This agreement mandates that the recipient must not disclose, share, or discuss any content within the ARC with third parties until the book's official release date. Non-compliance may lead to legal action and forfeiture of the ARC.

7. Publicity: By participating, entrants allow Dragonsteel Books to utilize their name, likeness, comments, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

8. Release: Participants release and indemnify Dragonsteel Books, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims or causes of action arising from participation in the giveaway or the use of any prize. The liability of the involved parties is limited to the cost of participating in the giveaway, and they are not liable for attorney's fees.
