Form and the Fantastic (Spoiler Warning!)
This is the critical afteword that I wrote about ELANTRIS for my grad program. It's essentially a scholarly analysis of my own work, written by me. It was a very interesting thing to do--as an English major, you get used to analyzing other people's novels. This was the first time I did something similar for mine, however! Please forgive the stuffy, academic nature of the piece. That's just how these things are.

Elantris Reading Group Questions (Spoiler Warning!)
These are some questions you could use to lead a discussion about ELANTRIS, should you have a book club or group who decides to read it together.
DELETED SCENES
Batch One: Eton, the Mad Prince (WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS!)
These scenes occur near the end of the book, and involve a character I cut completly from the novel. Eton was Raoden's brother, and was introduced later in the book as a secondary villian. Telrii now fits the roles Eton once did. (For more explanations, see the annotations dealing with these chapters.)
Batch Two: Random Smaller Scenes (WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS!)
This is a batch of smaller deleted scenes, often just paragraphs or revisions of existing scenes. I've included only ones that I think said something interesting or important about the revision process of this book.
Batch Three: Ending Scenes (WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS!)
This is a group of several large revisions made to the climax of the book. Some of these are kind of embarrassing. I can't believe they were ever in the novel. This includes (or will soon) an alternate ending to the novel.
Edited Elantris(No Spoilers.)
Not really a deleted scene, but a cool set of images showing how much changed about the book between revisions.
